Calling all Cupids!!!
Love is in the air yet again! And this calls for an exciting new Contest on YoVille! To celebrate Valentine’s Day on YoVille we would like to kick off a cool new Contest to give you all time to design your best look for this romantic Holiday!
We’re asking you to come up with your best ‘Love’ inspired Outfits for Male and Female categories on YoVille.
The 14th of February is celebrated internationally as a day of LOVE! Here’s a little trivia about the origin of this day: Saint Valentine’s Day, commonly shortened to Valentine’s Day, is an annual celebration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between couples. The day is named after Saint Valentine.
Love is a beautiful feeling and inspiration enough to come out with some gorgeous, captivating clothing and accessories! So embrace the spirit of this Holiday and get in touch with your inner Cupid, ‘cos this Contest is one you won’t wanna miss out on!
HOW TO ENTER:
The contest will begin on 24th January, 2012 @ 5 AM (PST) and end on 29th January, 11:59 PM (PST)
Step 1:
We want to see what your costumes will look like on a Yoville avatar so the first thing you will need to do is find an avatar to create the outfit for, this can be your own avatar or another avatar found on Yoville.com or in game. Then take a screenshot of that avatar. To take a Screenshot on a PC (Hold down CTRL, ALT, PRTSC) and on a MAC (Hold Down Command and SHIFT 3)
Step 2:
Then go to Paint or PhotoShop or any type of image editing program you have installed on your computer and Paste your Screen shot. From here please use the tools provided to edit your image and design your outfit. You may have to crop to remove any unnecessary parts of your screen shot so you only have the avatar to work with. Also rememeber to include all the parts of your design(accessories, makeup, handhelds) on your display avatar. Don’t be afraid to use color or get creative! Make sure to save along the way!!
Step 3:
Next you are going to have to upload your image to an Image hosting site like Tinypic or Photobucket. If you do not already have an account you will need to create one. Once that you have uploaded your picture to your account your image will be given links and codes for the image. Make sure to Copy the IMG Code provided for your image.
Step 4:
Paste your IMG code into this thread by clicking HERE . Please note that this thread is ONLY for submissions. Any discussions about the contest belongsHERE. Keeping these two threads separate will help us be able to sort through entries when choosing the top entries.
RULES & GUIDELINES
**While thinking up your designs, please keep in mind that we already have Cupid Outfits and other popular Valentine’s Day Clothing in the works so think out of the box and come up with the most original, unique Valentine’s costumes you can think up! **
- Valentine’s Day Entries will be accepted from 24th January, 2012 @ 5 AM (PST) and end on 29th January, 11:59 PM (PST) . After all of the entries are gathered our team will announce our top choices and will let the players vote for their favorites!
- All entries/ images files MUST be less than 150 KB only.
- Players may ONLY submit up to one Female Outfit and/or one Male Outfit. Entering more than one of each will result in disqualification.
- Only ONE entry post per player. Please do not post more than once. Otherwise you will be disqualified! Spamming your entry will not be allowed.
- NO Copying of other player’s entries or original artwork. This will not be tolerated. All designs must be created by you! If we find that your work is not original we retain the right to disqualify you at any stage during the contest!
- Please note: designs that have the artists names in the image itself will NOT be accepted. Please do not put your name in your artwork.
- No insulting or making negative comments about other contest entries, this will not be allowed and may result in the disqualification of your entry.
